Initiative 502 is also known as The Washington Marijuana Legalization and Regulation, approved on a statewide ballot on November 6, 2012. I-502 legalized the production, possession, distribution, and delivery of marijuana within Washington State.
Regulations put in place by I-502:
- Laws for the sale of marijuana in small amounts to people over 21 years of age
- Licensing required for marijuana farms & food processors by the Washington State Liquor Control Board
- Legal limit for operating a motor vehicle (maximum 5 nanograms of THC, an active ingredient in marijuana, per milliliter of blood in system)
