It’s approaching the fall season at Taxman & Associates, which means we’re already busy churning through extension-deadline Tax Returns. If you extended your Tax Return this year, remember – preparers need several weeks of lead time in order to be able to complete your taxes!

Last, we leave you with your quarterly – if not more often – reminder to be ever-vigilant about scams. Here’s what the latest one looks like – emails disguised with titles like “Automatic Income Tax Reminder” or “Electronic Tax Return Reminder.” This is a clever ploy because many taxpayers receive legitimate deadline reminders this time of year – like from us! (You can always call 206-323-1066 to verify whether an email you’ve received from us is the real thing.) Keep in mind, the IRS will NEVER send you unsolicited emails or request personal/financial information over email. If you’re concerned you’re being scammed, give us a call – we’ll help you figure out if the IRS is really contacting you.
